We make our bags and backing boards archival-safe, ensuring that they are acid-free to prevent yellowing, brittleness, bumped corners, tears, and rips.

The backing boards are made with 100% recycled fiber, 4-ply thickness for extra durability, and come in double-sided white tones for a smooth and polished finish. Modern Era and Golden/Silver Era Sizes

We carry two sizes of bags and backing boards to fit the comic books from over the many decades of artistic and creative change. From Modern Era comics to the vintage Golden & Silver Era issues, we have the necessary materials you need to keep them all well preserved in bags specifically engineered to their dimensions. The Modern Era size is ideal for comic books from the 1980s to now, while the Golden & Silver Era size allows for extra width and length to perfectly fit comic books that predate the 1980s. Both styles of bag are made to accommodate comic books specifically, only changing size based on the era of your specific issue.

Two Styles of Self-Sealing

Our bags feature two flap designs, which are either a self-sealing adhesive strip or plain non-adhesive open flap. The adhesive comes with a sticky strip on the body of the bag instead of on the flap, which we refer to as a “protective closure”. This style of bag allows you to easily insert and remove comic books without coming into contact with the adhesive strip, avoiding snags and tears as you position issues within the bag. The nonadhesive flap bags are made for those who prefer to use tape or leave their bags unsealed.
